
Our initial brief for this website was to use existing company branding to design a website that would showcase the entire line of products whilst keeping up to date with news and press releases. We were also tasked with providing Search Engine Optimisation throughout the website for various phrases.
We achieved this by working closely with the company's PR department to come up with a design incorporating the elements that the company wanted, with a fresh, modern look to be used throughout the entire website.
We listened to the customer's needs and created a bespoke CMS package so that the PR department could log in and update as necessary and make instant impact on the website.
By incorporating Flash on the homepage we gave the website some movement to keep it exciting; we also drew information from various places on the website to make sure that the homepage was constantly updated as and when new content was added.
SEO on this website has been successful thanks to ongoing input - we have the top spot on Google for many of the phrases the client provided, along with first page results for many of the alternative phrases.
Our brief was to create a simple website to create a good impact on search engines and also for visitors who found the site. We also had the task of increasing search engine rankings on given phrases.
We were given high quality images of the products and the processes that the company makes/undertakes; we made good use of incorporating them into the website's design and having the quality of the workmanship speak for itself. On the web, content is king; good photographs can make or break the look of a site - we also had the logo to work from which provided us with a good idea for the colour scheme that would suit.
We worked closely with the client and provided multiple designs for them to choose from. After some tweaks suggested by the client we agreed on a layout. We then set about adding some features that would make the website stand out, such as a lightbox for viewing the images on any page in all their glory without having to venture off the page the user is looking at. We also added a sliding bar of photographs onto every page to add movement keeping the user interested.
Throughout the entire build process of the website from design to deployment, Search Engine Optimisation was on the developer's mind, incorporating White-Hat optimisation techniques to ensure that the rankings of the page would be optimum. Although this site is fairly new, we are already climbing the search engines with results and having places in the top spot, or top page for a lot of the keywords and phrases supplied by the client.
